Faith Confessions-Trials & Temptations

Faith Confessions & Testimonies

Trials and Temptation

Faith Testimony is about you attestating to what Christ Jesus has done and can do in you by the WORD. When such is done, and being done you are invariably giving prophecy and prophetic utterance to give hope, inspire faith and selfless love firstly to yourself and secondly to someone else in Christ, that may be listening or will listen in time of your testimony of God’s doings in Christ Jesus in you. For the testimonial prophecy and prophetic utterance gives edification, exhortation and comforts as enjoined in the Holy writs and not limited however:

Revelation 19:10  And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy

1 Corinthians 14:3 “But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort

Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death”

Isaiah 8:16, 20 “Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. . . 20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them

Therefore, Faith confessions (declaration) and testimonies of and for your TRIALS and TEMPTATIONS are about affirming who and what you are in Christ as well as what you have in Christ according to the word of God. When you begin to say with your mouth – “This is who I am”; “This is what I am”; ‘This is what God’s WORD says concerning me or my situation’ – this will build up the consciousness to bring about physical reality and vitality of your desires in God’s word. Faith confessions and testimonies create realities. Faith demands expression. To develop a robust faith, you must confess and testify of your faith on the word of God. This is not positive confession – it is you affirming faith on the word of God. What you need or desire is already real in the spirit – faith confessions and testimonies make it real in the physical world.

By faith confessions and testimonies, we receive our salvation and desired miracles. Salvation in biblical concept is not just only in reference to being born again but includes and endorses all the packages in our redemption. So for your TRIALS and TEMPTATIONS, ponder, that is, mediatate on these scriptures below but not limited, receive grace from them and begin to declare with affirmation on who you are in Christ Jesus as touching the matter in question.

James 1:2-4 “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptationsknowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patienceBut let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing”

James 1:12-18 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14 but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 16 Do not err, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. 18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures”

1 Corinthians 10:13 “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

1 John 2:15-17 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever”

1 Peter 4:12-19 “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13 but rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christs sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other mens matters. 16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. 17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator”

1 Peter 1:3-9 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christwhom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls”

The Christian faith was once called the Great Confession or Profession. It’s a faith in which those who are a part of it confess/ profess & testify to their belief. Faith Confessions & Testimonies are a major principle to enact the will, the covenant/testament of God’s word into reality. For a Christian who wants to enact their triumph, victory and success in Christian faith in line with what Christ has done and is doing, will as a matter of principle, live a life of faith confessions and testimonies.

Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised ;”)

Hebrews 10: 36-38 “For you have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet, a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any men draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him”.

Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death”.

Revelation 19:10 “And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy”

Faith confession and testimony is the Christian act of faith to bring about the reality of the concealed promises of God in His Word. That is, the release of breakthrough out of our spirit in order to enact, authenticate and establish God’s Word and purposes into our situation.

Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but you shall meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make thy way prosperous, and then you shall have good success”.

Proverbs 18:4 “The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook”.

Proverbs 18:20-21 “A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”

How Faith Confessions & Testimonies Work

Psalms 19:14, Proverbs 6:2, Proverbs 12:14, Proverbs 13:2, Proverbs 18:4, Matthew 12:34b, Luke 21:15, Romans 10:8-10, Hebrews 10:23, Hebrews 10:36-38

Proverbs 6:2 “Thou are snared with the WORDS OF THY MOUTH, thou are taken with the WORDS OF THY MOUTH

Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold fast the PROFESSION of our FAITH without wavering (for he is faithful that promised)”

Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him – satan – by the blood of the Lamb, and by the WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY; and they loved not their lives unto the death”.

Faith Testimony is the vocal expression of your Faith: On what God has done, has begun to do and will yet do for you.

Your Faith is the result of your believing system. Faith Testimony – Professing or Confessing – of the Word of Faith is necessary as it affects the miracles that the good God is delivering into your hand. This is spiritual, legal and vital to ensure and create the world you cherished and want to enjoy – Hebrew 10:23; Romans 4:17-19. This is what David did in 1 Samuel 17:32-50 to bring down the giant – Goliath – in his life and in the life of his people – The Israelites.

Faith Testimony stimulates faith and challenges God to act on your behalf. It sets the Angels to work on your behalf – Hebrews 1:14; Ecclesiastics 5:6; Psalm 103:20.

Faith Testimony – not unbelief or doubt or a lie – is based on the truth of The WORD of God. Faith Testimony is an attitude of your being grateful to God. It is a sign of gratitude, a sign of trust, belief and of faith in God and from God. A sign of thanksgiving to God. Faith Testimony is speaking forth the unseen  unknown  to the seen  known2 Corinthian 4:13, 18.

Faith Confessions and Testimonies are about affirming who and what you are in Christ as well as what you have in Christ according to the word of God. When you begin to say with your mouth – “This is who I am”; “This is what I am”  this will build up the consciousness to bring about physical reality of your desires in God’s word.

Romans 10:9-10 “That if you shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”.

From the above scriptures, we can deduce that:

  • What our heart believes is vital. The heart speaks of the spirit of man. By it, you believe God’s word unto righteousness.
  • What our mouth confesses is vital. The scripture says that death and life are in the power of the tongue. That a man shall live by the fruit of his lips. There is power in our mouth. By it we confess our victory into reality. ‘CONFESSION IS MADE UNTO SALVATION‘.

Faith confessions and testimonies in the content above can be concluded as an act of agreeing to the Word of God in our heart and confessing or testifying to God’s word with our mouth to bring forth our desired salvation.

There are promises in your mouth – dare to confess them, dare to speak them forth.
