July 11, 2014 By Pastor Chukie Leave a Comment

WP_20140328_21_17_13_Pro-815x1024Who is a successful and fulfilled Gospel Minister? He is a minister marked by faithfulness and fruitfulness; not necessarily by money, flashy cars, a big congregation or magnificent Cathedral; which unfortunately some may attribute.

How To Maintain Success

John 6:39 “And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day”

  • If you don’t action your unction you will auction it with time.
  • Don’t tribalise the gospel, instead centralise.
  • Don’t get used to the usual, less you will lose grip with the Holy Spirit.
  • Don’t only succeed, also don’t let the devil have a part in it to glory. Such that you can say, the prince of this world comes, but have nothing to glory in me.
  • Always have it in mind that when the devil produce his plan, God will always have an answer.
  • As a Minister, your knowledge should exceed the pulpit to enhance your today and tomorrow.
  • Know that for everything you by God initiate, God will also give you grace to inaugurate.
  • What we are given power to subdue cannot relegate us except we allow.
  • What God have esteemed who can disdain or demean it.

SUCCESSFUL MINISTRY – It’s A Diligent Lifestyle!

March 1, 2012 By Pastor Chukie Leave a Comment

WP_20140328_21_22_28_ProProverbs 22:29”Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men”

Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

Colourful living is not for the slothful or sluggard; be it known that good success and prosperous Ministry is not for the lazy, idle-minded, lazy people and wishful thinkers but for the diligent.

Diligence is a consistent steady and smart effort, focus to achieve or attain a given task or life goals and pursuit.  And it’s for those who are passionate and want to reign in their desired field of call in life and ministry as nobles – (kings and king-makers) and not as obscure. Meaning it’s not for the lazy and lay-about gangsters.

Progress in life calls for the pressing, hence great foundation and established good success is recorded on diligent plans, purpose and pursuit. Diligence involves investing your abilities, strengths and all about you into the pursuit of your called mission. God will only prosper the works of your hand, not your calling. He only prospers your calling through prospering your diligent efforts.

Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

IDLENESS is a career for some and carrier of POVERTY and it can only be remedy through diligence. Therefore invest in labour and reap the great harvest of God in your calling. Yours is the task of planting and watering, God’s task is to bring the increase and overflow.

I Corinthians 3:6-7 “I (Paul) have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.”

Every Blessing!

Ministerial Leadership Etiquette

October 21, 2011 By Pastor Chukie Leave a Comment

altAk9qLKsYXta1hWU1FyXcXSQShwpsPG1Uee-rjmqLHgNw“When a leader stops learning, he stops leading and every great preacher is a great student ”.

“A leader is the one who in the absence of the multitude will defend his friend also, and Jesus is the leader best of friends”.

Ministerial Leadership etiquette is about leadership code of conduct or mode of aparandi or behaviour in the ministry of the glorious  gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. It’s about how we go about the works of the ministry so that we don’t create an  atmosphere that becomes a hindrance to the cause and course of the gospel – 2 Corinthians 6:3; 2 Corinthians 4:7; 1 Corinthians 9:12; 1 Corinthians 10:32 – 33.

The Faith Principles That Builds The Church

October 21, 2011 By Pastor Chukie Leave a Comment

Revd_Chukie_MORSIMatthew 16:17-19 “And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven“.

Acts 5:20 “Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life”.

If the members or congregation have not their faith in God established as yours in God, they will drain the anointing on you. Established them on their own faith in God, it’s what you do with the Church determines where their faith stands. Faith will establish them. What you feed them with determines their faith in God. That will make them perform for God and with God.

People will always treasure what they respect and have regards for. If you make the ministry cheap and of no substance, that’s what the congregation will treat it or respond to. If you are ashamed of acclaiming to whom you are and what God has called you to be, you will lose the covering grace over you. Give value and regards to who you are by God’s grace and celebrate it; and don’t let circumstances, material things and people determine your joy or happiness less it will be a distraction and rob you of your sense of direction in the call.

Leadership Is Sacrifice & Service

July 30, 2011 By Pastor Chukie Leave a Comment

1 Peter 5:1-4 “1 The elders who are among you I exhort, I who am a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that will be revealed: 2 Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; 3 nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock; 4 and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away”.

Matthew 20:20-28 “Then the mother of Zebedee’s sons came to Him with her sons, kneeling down and asking something from Him. 21 And He said to her, “What do you wish?” She said to Him, “Grant that these two sons of mine may sit, one on Your right hand and the other on the left, in Your kingdom.” 22 But Jesus answered and said, “You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?”They said to Him, “We are able.” 23 So He said to them, “You will indeed drink My cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with; but to sit on My right hand and on My left is not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it is prepared by My Father.” 24 And when the ten heard it, they were greatly displeased with the two brothers. 25 But Jesus called them to Himself and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. 26 Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. 27 And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave— 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many”.

The call to leadership in the Faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, is a call to servanthood (sacrifice, service and stewardship ministry) and not to a Lordship ministry as detailed in the above named Scriptures.

Some key guideline to true and effective leadership are thus:

  • Be a leader not  a boss
  • Lead by example
  • Have an attitude of a servant
  • Leadership is a function of humility – Philippians 2:6-8; John 13:4-11
  • Leadership must have a focus goal (know where you are going and where you are coming from). Leadership means remaining focus irrespective of the challenges.
  • Leadership must be done and approach with a perfect heart – 2 Chronicle 25:2; Jeremiah 17:9-10. Leadership action depends on the motive and  God rewards motive not only just the action. Leadership is likened to  a salt as in – Matthew 5:13. Salt is what is inside it.
  • Leadership is not glamour but a warfare. To be engaged on our fight of FAITH with satan and cohorts for human freedom & liberty in REDEMPTION.
  • Leadership is not cheap. Every pain adds to your experience. And every experience leads to your promotion. As a leader you will step on peoples toes or feet, you will be insulted and be misunderstood, but don’t misunderstand yourself when you are being misunderstood.
  • As a leader, watch your utterances, especially about death or dying – Numbers 11:11-15; 1 Kings 19:1-5.
  • Matthew 17:1-3 – Honour of God in the mount of transfiguration. As a leader, your service and motive will determine your honour & presentation. Your account of services in the kingdom of God is your reward.

Examples of Integrity In Leadership:

a. Samuel the Leader:

1 Samuel 12:1-5 “1 Now Samuel said to all Israel: “Indeed I have heeded your voice in all that you said to me, and have made a king over you. 2 And now here is the king, walking before you; and I am old and grayheaded, and look, my sons are with you. I have walked before you from my childhood to this day. 3 Here I am. Witness against me before the LORD and before His anointed: Whose ox have I taken, or whose donkey have I taken, or whom have I cheated? Whom have I oppressed, or from whose hand have I received any bribe with which to blind my eyes? I will restore it to you.”4 And they said, “You have not cheated us or oppressed us, nor have you taken anything from any man’s hand.” 5 Then he said to them, “The LORD is witness against you, and His anointed is witness this day, that you have not found anything in my hand.” And they answered, “He is witness”.

b. Barnabas the Leader:

  • Acts 1:21-26
  • Acts 4:36-37
  • Acts 9:26-28
  • Acts 12: 25
  • Acts 15:36-39
  • 2 Timothy 4:11

Finally, Here are the three tempters or enemies you need to Watch in course of Leadership:

  • Money (Finance): Money may be good, don’t love it, it does have wings and may disappear  –  Proverbs 23:5; 1 Timothy 6:10.
  • Immorality (Sex): Avoid it else it will go far towards you. It kills the anoint and the anointed. Keep far away from you for your own good. Get married if so pressured – 1 Corinthians 7:1-7; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; 3:16-17; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18.
  • Pride (Boasting): Deal with it early if you must stay top and maintain pace or position. Humility is your antidote. James 4:6; 1 Peter 5:5.

Every Grace,

Pst Chukie

Beginning with God – Kingdom Business

October 9, 2008 By Chukie MORSI Leave a Comment

The Garden of Eden

Genesis 1:1 – 3 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light”.

Luke 2: 49 “And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?”

Acts 6:1 – 4 “And in those days, when the number of the disciples were multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration. Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. But we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word”.

The kingdom business as called by our Lord Jesus should be kingdom business – not man made business – (Matthew 6:36, Luke 2:49) – and should be approached with a kingdom mindset. The Bible text indicates a kingdom blueprint for success in the management of a faithful and productive life in kingdom business – whether in ministry or church Leadership – A life of dominion and triumph for leaders and members alike is the earnest reason Christ came, died and rose again.

The Word of God makes a man deal wisely in the affairs of life. This is the principle that God gave Joshua – Joshua 1:8. If you apply the Word of God to your vision and stay focused on the Word, you will deal wisely in life and even with your teachers (mentors) or instructors – (Psalm 119: 99-100, Proverbs 22:29, Ezra 7:10, Matthew 13:52)

Principle for Kingdom Business

A. Make up your mind

You need to make up your mind to begin with God as God begun. Begin anyhow but with God – Genesis 1:1, Acts 17:28. From Genesis 1:1 you can deduce these three points:

o If you must start well and end well in any endeavour in life, you must begin with God.

o If you are going to continue to be productive and victorious in life, you must begin with God.

o If you are going to get results that are beyond your natural capabilities, you must begin with God.

The reason is that the kingdom business is not ours, but God’s – 1 Corinthians 3:5-19 hence, there must be a deliberate attempt to begin with God, to make him the alpha (the beginning) and omega (the end). Not hypocritically, but intentionally and sincerely.

We must not only begin with God but must continue to work in partnership with Him, trusting him every step of the way. Genesis 1:31a, 1Corinthian 3:5-14 and Mark 16:15-20.

B. Our God is Organised

Our God is very organised, and consistent – Mark 7:37a, 1 Corinthians 14:40 from Genesis 1:1 you can deduce also three points:

  • God plans each day’s work – Proverbs 16:1-3, 9, and 25
  • He does not carry one day’s work over into another.
  • After finishing each day’s work, he reviews each day’s work to see that it conforms to the pattern and purpose He had in mind.

This is how to fill our lives and ministry with achievements, don’t push you work through until you are through. Don’t work by time, but work by achievement and that will keep you on God’s side, even on top.

C. God & Productivity

Like God, we don’t need to quit until each day’s work is done. God allocates each day work and gets it done. This is how to rise and stay on top always, Psalm 1:1-3,

  • Don’t just be efficient, be effective – Produce effect.
  • To be efficient is it do things well, but to be effective is to do the right things well and produce results – bringing forth your fruit in due season, according to the work of God.
  • For each day, God achieved goals and each cycle of life produced effect. Psalm 1:1-3

Two Important Keys:

In life, when you are done, you will be remembered for two things – You will be remembered for either the good things/lives you change or for the life/things you did nothing about – Think! To achieve your Kingdom vision mandate two important keys are vital and fundamental.

These are:

  • Set-out Goals (weekly and monthly): you need to set out goals weekly and also monthly, you then review that it has been done to achieve the desired goals. (Rev 22:1-7, Ezekiel 47:12)

  • Create your desired goals by your word – God always spoke what He wanted and He always saw it happen. You need to create the world you want to live in by the word of your mouth (Romans 10:8-10). Be mindful of what you say (Hebrew 10:23). Say what you want about your today, tomorrow and enter your greater tomorrow with God, with the words of your mouth.

“. . . and God said …. and God saw”

Finally, live productively, talk creatively, observe the cycles of this life with God as the centre of your desire, your goals will be achieved.

Dare to be efficient . . . Dare to be effective . . . productivity will be your rereward
