SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:
“Let no man SEEK his own, but every man another’s WELL-BEING. 25 Whatsoever is SOLD in the meat market, that EAT, asking no question for CONSCIENCE sake: 26 for the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof” 1 Corinthians 10:24-26.
“Go thy way, EAT thy bread with JOY, and DRINK thy wine with a MERRY HEART; for God now ACCEPTETH thy works. 8 Let thy garments be ALWAYS white; and let thy head LACK no ointment. 9 Live JOYFULLY with the wife whom thou LOVEST all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy PORTION in this life, and in thy labour which thou TAKEST under the sun. 10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest” Ecclesiastes 9:7-10.
” . . . 8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: 9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: BUT CONTRARIWISE BLESSING; KNOWING THAT YE ARE THEREUNTO CALLED, THAT YE SHOULD INHERIT A BLESSING. 10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: 11 let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. 12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil” 1 Peter 3:8-12 (1-12).
“ And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God CREATED man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God BLESSED them, and God said unto them, Be FRUITFUL, and MULTIPLY, and REPLENISH the earth, and SUBDUE it: and have DOMINION over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 29 And God said, Behold, I have GIVEN you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have GIVEN every green herb for meat: and it was so. 31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day”.
