Month MARCH 2024: Month of ensuring “PROFITABLE LIVING” in Christ Jesus stead!

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“ALL SCRIPTURE is GIVEN by INSPIRATION of God, and is PROFITABLE for DOCTRINE, for REPROOF, for CORRECTION, for INSTRUCTION in righteousness: 17 that the man of God may be PERFECT [WHOLE, COMPLETE, MATURE], throughly FURNISHED unto all good works” 2 Timothy 3:16-17/Emphasis Mine.

“All SCRIPTURE is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is PROFITABLE for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; 17 so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work” 2 Timothy 3:16-17/Amplified [AMP]

“For WHATSOEVER things were WRITTEN AFORETIME were WRITTEN for our LEARNING, that we through patience and comfort of the SCRIPTURES might HAVE hope” Romans 15:4.

“For WHATEVER was WRITTEN in earlier TIMES was WRITTEN for our INSTRUCTION, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the SCRIPTURES we might have HOPE and OVERFLOW with CONFIDENCE in His PROMISES” Romans 15:4/Amplified [AMP].

“For WHATEVER was thus WRITTEN in FORMER days was WRITTEN for our INSTRUCTION, that by [our steadfast and patient] endurance and the encouragement [drawn] from the SCRIPTURES we might HOLD FAST to and CHERISH hope” Romans 13:4/Amplified [Classic Edition]

“For unto us was the GOSPEL PREACHED, as well as unto them: but the WORD PREACHED did not PROFIT them, not being MIXED WITH FAITH in them that heard it” Hebrews 4:2.

“For indeed we have had the GOOD NEWS [of salvation] PREACHED to us, just as the Israelites also [when the GOOD NEWS of the promised land came to them]; but the message they heard did not BENEFIT them, because it was not UNITED with FAITH [in God] by those who heard” Hebrews 4:2/Amplified [AMP].

“For indeed we have had the GLAD TIDINGS [GOSPEL of God] PROCLAIMED to us just as truly as they [the Israelites of old did when the GOOD NEWS OF DELIVERANCE from bondage came to them]; but the MESSAGE they heard did not BENEFIT them, because it was not MIXED with FAITH (with the leaning of the entire personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) by those who heard it; neither were they UNITED in FAITH with the ones [Joshua and Caleb] who heard (did believe)” Hebrews 4:2/Amplified [CLASSIC EDITION]

“Even as Abraham BELIEVED God, and it was ACCOUNTED to him for righteousness. 7 Know ye therefore that they which ARE of faith, the same ARE the children of Abraham. 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would JUSTIFY the heathen through faith, PREACHED before the GOSPEL unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be BLESSED. 9 So then THEY which be of faith ARE BLESSED with FAITHFUL Abraham” Galatians 3:6-9.

“But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. 8 For bodily exercise PROFITETH little: but GODLINESS is PROFITABLE unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come . . . 13 Till I come, give ATTENDANCE to READING, to EXHORTATION, to DOCTRINE. 14 NEGLECT NOT THE GIFT that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. 15 meditate upon these things; GIVE thyself WHOLLY to them; that thy PROFITING may appear to all” 1 Timothy 4:7-8, 13-15.

“Grace and peace be multiplied unto you THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 according as his DIVINE POWER hath GIVEN unto us all things that pertain unto LIFE and GODLINESS, THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 whereby are GIVEN unto us exceeding great and PRECIOUS PROMISES: that by these ye might be PARTAKERS of the DIVINE NATURE, having ESCAPED the CORRUPTION that is in the world through lust” 2 Peter 1:2-4.

“If the iron be BLUNT, and he do not WHET the edge, then must he put to MORE STRENGTH: but WISDOM is PROFITABLE to direct” Ecclesiastes 10:10.

“And how I kept back nothing that was PROFITABLE unto you, but have SHEWED you, and have TAUGHT you publickly, and from house to house, 21 TESTIFYING both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, REPENTANCE TOWARD God, and FAITH TOWARD our Lord Jesus Christ” Acts 20:20-21.
