THE GREATEST UNIFYING UNION – THE HOLY COMMUNION: THE BREAD AND THE WINE – ENACTING THE PASSOVER!

Know for certainly, that the Holy Communion though powerful and gracious in the physical, it’s much more in the spiritual.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“. . . For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:  24 and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.  25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.  26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come . . .” 1 Corinthians 11: 17-34.

“The GRACE of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the LOVE of God, and the COMMUNION of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen” 2 Corinthians 13:14.

“And as they were eating, Jesus took BREAD, and BLESSED it, and BRAKE it, and GAVE it to the disciples, and said, Take, EAT; this is MY BODY. 27 And he took the CUP, and GAVE thanks, and GAVE it to them, saying, DRINK ye all of it; 28 for this is MY BLOOD of the NEW TESTAMENT, which is SHED for many for the REMISSION of sins. 29 But I say unto you, I will not DRINK henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I DRINK it NEW with you in my Father’s kingdom” Matthew 26:26-29.
