WELCOME TO MONTH JUNE: THE MONTH OF ENACTING – “THE BLESSED LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS!”
SCRIPTURAL THOUGHT WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:
“BLESSED be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath BLESSED US with all spiritual BLESSINGS in heavenly places in Christ: 4 according as he hath CHOSEN US in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 having PREDESTINATED US unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath MADE US ACCEPTED in the beloved” Ephesians 1:3-6.
“THE BLESSING of the Lord, it MAKETH RICH, and he ADDETH NO SORROW with it” Proverbs 10:22.
“But ye shall receive POWER, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in JERUSALEM, and in all JUDÆA, and in SAMARIA, and unto the UTTERMOST part of the earth” Acts 1:8.
“And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be ENDUED with POWER from on high” Luke 24:49.
“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another COMFORTER, that he may ABIDE WITH you for ever; 17 even the Spirit of TRUTH; whom the world CANNOT receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth WITH you, and shall be IN you” John 14:16-17.
“Now it is God who ESTABLISHES and CONFIRMS us [in joint fellowship] with you in Christ, and who has ANOINTED us [EMPOWERING us with the gifts of the Spirit]; 22 it is He who has also put His SEAL on us [that is, He has appropriated us and CERTIFIED us as His] and has GIVEN us the [Holy] Spirit in our hearts as a pledge [like a security deposit to GUARANTEE the fulfillment of His promise of eternal life]” 2 Corinthians 1:21-22/AMP.
“Just as Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, [as conformity to God’s will and purpose—so it is with you also]. 7 So understand that it is the people who live by faith [with confidence in the power and goodness of God] who are [the true] sons of Abraham. 8 The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, proclaimed the good news [of the Savior] to Abraham in advance [with this promise], saying, “In you shall all the nations be blessed.” 9 So then those who are people of faith [whether Jew or Gentile] are blessed and favored by God [and declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty, and placed in right standing with Him] along with Abraham, the believer . . . 13Christ PURCHASED our FREEDOM and REDEEMED us from the curse of the Law and its condemnation by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs [crucified] on a tree (cross)”— 14 in order that in Christ Jesus THE BLESSING of Abraham might also come to the Gentiles, so that we would all receive [the realization of] the PROMISE of the [Holy] Spirit through faith . . . 26 For you [who are born-again have been reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified and] are all children of God [set apart for His purpose with full rights and privileges] through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ [into a spiritual union with the Christ, the Anointed] have clothed yourselves with Christ [that is, you have taken on His characteristics and values]. 28 There is [now no distinction in regard to salvation] neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you [who believe] are all one in Christ Jesus [no one can claim a spiritual superiority]. 29 And if you belong to Christ [if you are in Him], then you are Abraham’s descendants, and [spiritual] heirs according to [God’s] promise” Galatians 3:13-14/AMP.
“And it shall come to pass, IF THOU SHALT HEARKEN DILIGENTLY UNTO THE VOICE of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: 2 and all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, IF THOU SHALT HEARKEN UNTO THE VOICE of the Lord thy God . . . 9 The Lord shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, IF THOU SHALT KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways . . . 13 And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; IF THAT THOU HEARKEN UNTO THE COMMANDMENTS of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them: 14 and thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them” Deuteronomy 28:1-14.
“Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me. 35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, IT IS MORE BLESSED TO GIVE THAN TO RECEIVE” Acts 20:34-35.
“What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? 2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 6 Even as David also describeth the BLESSEDNESS of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. 9 Cometh this BLESSEDNESS then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness . . . 16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, 17 (as it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were . . . 22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. 23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24 but for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; 25 who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification” Romans 4:1-25.
